His work encompasses editorial design, branding and identity, packaging, advertising, web design, and creative direction. He is the founder of several influential art, music, travel, and culture publications and websites, and currently resides in Savannah, Georgia.

Throughout his career, Tripp has worked in both creative and production capacities for major advertising agencies in New York, Miami, San Francisco, and Boston. His agency experience includes Ogilvy, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Publicis (Mundocom), Grey Healthcare, Taxi, and Saatchi & Saatchi. He has also collaborated extensively with creative professionals Nicole Detko and Cheryl Roshak in New York City and worked for leading publishers, design studios, and marketing firms, including Bloomberg, Miller Publishing, Shostak Studios, and Avanti.

For several years, Tripp worked with Aquent in San Francisco, Boston, and Miami, earning recognition as Miami’s “Temp of the Year” for outstanding service. He has also created presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral for major financial and consulting firms, including Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, Morgan Stanley, Scudder, and DSL Direct.

Publishing has been a lifelong passion. While attending college, Tripp co-founded the pioneering independent magazine Ipso Facto with Chuck Conner and Stuart Patterson. Relocating the publication to San Francisco, he immersed himself in the city’s vibrant music, design, art, and political culture, documenting the emerging hip-hop and electronic music scenes while exploring art, activism, and contemporary culture. He collaborated with influential designers and artists including Steven R. Gilmore, Tom Bonauro, and Rex Ray. Ipso Facto was an early innovator in desktop publishing and among the first independent publications to utilize digital tools for four-color separations and printing.

In Miami, Tripp played a key role in the development of several prominent publications. As Advertising Designer for Ocean Drive magazine during its inaugural year, he created advertising for the magazine’s client base. He also served as Art Director for Destination Jamaica and Destination Dominica, producing advertising and promotional materials for resorts, restaurants, and retailers throughout the Caribbean. Additionally, he worked as a graphic designer for Island Outpost, creating guest communications and marketing materials.

As a publisher and editor, Tripp has launched and led numerous independent media projects, including the Miami music magazine TIP, the travel and culture magazine ROAM, the world music website MundoVibes, and the Asheville, North Carolina city guide Metro Asheville. His publishing work has consistently focused on music, arts, travel, design, and cultural innovation.

Tripp’s work reflects a broad range of creative influences and disciplines. Combining strategic thinking with strong visual design skills, he is equally comfortable working in print and digital environments. His versatility, creativity, technical expertise, and ability to thrive under tight deadlines have made him a valued collaborator for agencies, publishers, corporations, and entrepreneurial ventures alike.
